The ACSR Cable Recycling Machine is designed to efficiently separate and recover aluminum and steel from scrap transmission lines through a fully mechanical process. By combining size reduction technology with magnetic separation, the system converts mixed ACSR cables into high-purity metal fractions suitable for direct recycling and resale.
The process begins with automatic feeding, allowing long cable lengths to be continuously introduced into the system without manual pre-cutting. Heavy-duty shredding and cutting units then reduce the cables into small segments, releasing the aluminum strands from the steel core. Once the material is sufficiently liberated, it passes through a magnetic separation system where ferrous steel is extracted from the non-magnetic aluminum fraction. This process enables efficient recovery of both metals while maintaining high separation purity.
Compared with manual dismantling methods, automated ACSR recycling significantly improves productivity, reduces labor requirements, and enhances material recovery efficiency. The recovered aluminum and steel can be directly returned to the recycling market, helping processors maximize the value of end-of-life transmission cables while reducing waste disposal costs.
