Our Aluminum Can Decoating Furnace is engineered to thermally remove organic coatings from aluminum scrap through a controlled pyrolysis process. The system is suitable for processing used beverage cans (UBCs), painted aluminum scrap, aluminum profiles, electronic waste, insulated copper wires, and other coated metal materials requiring thermal pretreatment. Operating at 450–550°C, the system decomposes paints and plastics without melting the aluminum, delivering high-purity material ready for direct remelting.
Built around an internally heated rotary furnace, the equipment provides continuous material tumbling for uniform heat transfer and consistent decoating performance. An integrated heat recovery system captures pyrolysis gases generated during the process and returns them to the combustion chamber as supplementary fuel, reducing energy consumption while minimizing VOC emissions.
To ensure stable operation, the furnace combines PLC automation with intelligent PID temperature control, enabling automatic feeding, precise temperature regulation, continuous production, and remote monitoring. The enclosed design, together with the thermal oxidizer and exhaust gas treatment system, provides a cleaner working environment and supports environmentally compliant recycling operations.
Whether installed as a standalone decoating unit or integrated into a complete aluminum recycling line, the furnace transforms coated scrap into high-quality melting feedstock. Cleaner raw materials, lower energy consumption, higher aluminum recovery, and improved ingot quality make it an essential solution for modern aluminum recycling plants.
